HOW WE ORGANIZE THE AMC
Allied Media Projects staff wrote an article about the AMC organizing process. You can read it here.
GROUND TRANSPORATION FROM DTW
If you are flying to Detroit for the AMC, and you haven't yet figured out how you're getting to Wayne State from the airport, book a cab today with Peoples Transit. They charge a flat rate of $50 for a sedan cab ride from the airport (plus tip). Use the AMC Travel Message Board to connect with other people arriving around the same time as you, so that you can arrange to share a cab. Call 734-467-7000 to reserve a cab.
BRING YOUR 2012 PREDICTIONS
AMC organizers in Detroit have an annual tradition of making predictions for the next year on New Year's Eve. We want to bring that tradition to the AMP network! So we are creating an AMC2012 time capsule and we want all of your predictions to be a part of it! We will have a time capsule box for you to drop in your predictions for 2012, which we will present back to you next year (if we are all here).
AMC BOOK EXCHANGE
Who in the world would you rather exchange awesome books with than the Allied Media network? Bring books (zines, videos, curricula) related to your work/play/life, and you will get the option to either take back as many as you donate, or just make the donation and go home with lighter bags. All leftover books will become part of the Detroit Movement Library started during the US Social Forum 2010.
