This brings back memories of kee keeing with my peoples on Christopher Street, loud and flaming, on the way to the piers. It is so good to see an image that places us in the queer history of this city, to know it started well before us. (And for those of you not in NYC who have never been here - yes, that Village Cigars is still around.)
I am loving Miss Thing stunting with the parasol - even carrying all that weight, she dressed to be seen that day. What luck that this photographer caught the result of her effort.
