Like so many of you, I'm worried about Haiti and all the Haitians whose lived have been destroyed. It is particularly sad to think about all the children who have lost one or both parents. There has been quite a bit of talk in the news, including the Canadian media, about white adoptive parents and how their attempts to adopt have been thwarted or indefinitely postponed due to the earthquake, or how Haitian children should be sent to North American or Europe for adoption. To me this is problematic. The international community needs to help Haiti, and it is, but trying to save "orphans" (some might not actually be orphans) by removing them from their home is not the way to do it.
