As of January 26, more than 500 "orphans" had been granted "humanitarian parole" to come from Haiti to the United States (source, Department of State).

As of January 34, just 34 people had been granted "humanitarian parole" for medical reasons (one source here, others around the web). It is of course possible that some of those people are children.

Oh, the humanity.
