Consulta/Survey Defined:
Consulta is a word in Spanish that means "consults" or "consultation." A consulta process, then, is a way to consult, or seek advice and guidance from others. By consulting with other grassroots organizations, networks, alliances, and social movements, both in the local host site's city and state, across the United States, and around the world, we can make sure that the Social Forum represents and is relevant to a broad range and scope of movements.

En consultación con otras organizaciones de base, redes, alianzas, y movimientos sociales, en Detroit, todo el país, y globalmente, aseguramos que el Foro Social representa y pertenece un ambito ampleo de movimientos.

In order to make the Forum a success, the National Planning Committee (NPC) wants your feedback! This consulta process proposes themes and framing to organize plenaries, workshops and assemblies of people, organizations and movements. This consulta, or consultation process, is an opportunity to give feedback on the relevance and accuracy of the themes and framing to your work specifically and movement building in general.
