Continuing the exploration and subsequent appropriation of the language of advertising in his previous Branded/Unbranded series, Hank Willis Thomas is developing a new body of images which juxtapose contemporary ads with strikingly similar examples from the past in order to further examine expressions of cultural exploitation by the media.
